Amherst homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Roof Repair Smedway grew out of Amherst, NH job sites, not a corporate rollout plan — that's still how we staff every Roof Leak Repair crew we send to Amherst.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
Every Roof Leak Repair job, from a single flashing repair to a full Amherst tear-off, gets built to the same standard: the one that holds up, not the one that's fastest to invoice.
Proof of licensing before the first ladder goes up.
Someone answers, every time, day or night.
No invoice surprises once work is underway.
Crews dispatched from within Amherst, NH, not another region entirely.
Most emergency calls we get trace back to a smaller sign that went unnoticed for weeks or months.
None of the six signs below require an emergency call on their own, but each one is worth a scheduled inspection before it turns into something bigger.
Shingles shed their protective granules as they wear down, and a gutter full of grit is an early tell.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Pinpricks of light in the attic are an early, fixable version of what becomes a leak later.
A spreading brown ring on a ceiling almost always means water is tracking in from somewhere on the roof.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
Exposed underlayment is only a temporary barrier — it's not built to handle sustained exposure.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Amherst, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
Every homeowner gets walked through material options before a decision is made, not after.
Flat roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water problems early.
We'll tell you honestly whether your roof needs a full replacement or just a targeted repair — we don't default to the bigger invoice.
Scheduled maintenance catches loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them urgent.
If your roof has an architectural quirk, we scope it personally rather than forcing a standard fix.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
A technician walks the roof and, when accessible, checks the attic side for the full picture.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
A final walkthrough confirms everything matches the agreed scope.
None of these reasons are unique claims in the roofing industry on their own — what matters is that we actually deliver on all of them together, on every Amherst job.
We give you an honest arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week."
Every estimate is itemized so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
Every job includes a written labor warranty separate from the shingle manufacturer's coverage.
We've worked with enough local carriers to know what actually speeds up claim approval.
Some roofs need a full reroof; plenty just need one honest repair.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
No surprise line items appear after the fact; anything that changes the scope gets discussed with you directly.
We'd rather explain a guarantee in plain language upfront than have a homeowner discover the fine print later.
If your address sits just past our standard Amherst radius, dispatch can usually still work something out.
Because our crews already know Amherst's layout, we rarely lose time to a wrong-turn delay that out-of-area companies deal with constantly.
We'd rather confirm coverage on a quick call than have a homeowner assume they're out of range and skip calling entirely.
